Derrick Mason Traded To Texans

In a surprise move, the Houston Texans have had a procedure to add a receiver to its lineup, sending a conditional draft pick to the New York Jets wide receiver Derrick Mason, according to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle through Twitter.

Mason was involved in the headlines this weekend for his candor, not to be happy with the offensive game plan for the Jets. In a report in the New York Post reported that Mark Cannizzaro Mason was one of three recipients who complained to the head coach Rex Ryan Jets offensive coordinator on Brian Schottenheimer. Of course, Mason and other recipients rejected the request after the game.

"Okay, let me say this: I've been in this thing [NFL] 15 years and I've never criticized offensive coordinator, head coach - at any time," Mason said.

In the game on Sunday, Mason was on the bench. The team asserts, however, that Mason was on the bench performance, and his comments. "To be honest, I think Derrick would reach 80-90 balls. OK, this did not happen," Rex Ryan said after the game. The season, Mason now has 18 receptions for 115 yards.

Houston Texans receiver Other recently lost Johnson for a few weeks with a thigh injury and has been hit hard by the injury bug at the post office as a whole. The Texans were clearly wrong with the position and felt that the veteran of 37 years would help them get along until Johnson returns from injury.
